Role Model (aka Tucker Pillsbury) turned Rockefeller Plaza into his own heartbreak stadium this morning, performing live on the Today Show as part of the final Citi Concert Series in New York City.

The heartthrob delivered fan-favorites like “Some Protector,” “Writing’s On The Wall,” and his viral hit “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.”

One of the cutest parts? Besides, Today’s very own Al Roker stepping in as this morning’s Sally (iconic behavior only), he also sent love to his Mom, who was also tuning in with the world.

It’s been a whirlwind year for Tucker. Back on Valentine’s Day, he dropped the deluxe edition of his sophomore album, Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye), adding four extra gut-punch tracks to the already emotional record. With 17 songs in total, it became the soundtrack for both the lovers and the heartbroken on the trickiest holiday of the year.

The deluxe rollout was led by “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out,” which exploded after his Tonight Show performance. Since then, the single has racked up over 45 million streams and 500 million TikTok views across the record’s tracks, cementing Tucker’s status as one of music’s most relatable (and viral) rising stars.

As one fan hilariously put it, he really did “put the model in Role Model,” and honestly… facts. Next stop for Tucker? World domination continues September 28th at the All Things Go Festival in Washington, DC.
