Get ready, Gilmore Girls fans! A new 25th anniversary documentary is officially in the works, and yes, the cast will be part of it.
Titled Searching For Stars Hollow, the project will feature familiar faces like Kelly Bishop, Jared Padalecki, and Chad Michael Murray, with more names still to come.
According to a press release, the doc will explore “the beloved show’s role in American cultural history” while also sharing never-before-seen interviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and insight from cast, crew, writers, and directors.

The team behind the film is stacked: Meghna Balakumar and Kevin Konrad Hanna will co-direct, with Adam F. Goldberg executive producing and Jim Demonakos producing.
Balakumar teased what’s ahead, saying: “The interviews that we’ve already conducted with the cast have been a delight. We’ve shot more than 100 hours of footage and have already unearthed stories, commentary, critiques, and more.
“We’re continuing to shoot more interviews in the coming months to present the most complete, full, and truly new story of the show’s impact and legacy that is only possible at this historical moment,” she added.

Producer Jim Demonakos added that the project isn’t just for fans of the series, but also for “anyone with an interest in cultural history and how it affects individual lives.”
While Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel have not yet been interviewed, there’s still hope. The project is currently supported by a Kickstarter campaign through Ink On Paper Studios, where fans can sign up for updates and stay in the loop.
With Gilmore Girls still holding a massive place in pop culture after all these years, Searching For Stars Hollow promises to be the perfect love letter to Stars Hollow and beyond.
