Matt Rife is on fire right now, and the receipts prove it.

The icon just broke the record for the most tickets ever sold for a single show at Nationwide Arena in Ohio, pulling in a jaw-dropping 20,000 fans for his Stay Golden Tour stop last week.

That milestone came only weeks after he became the youngest comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden, but it was a full-circle moment at Nationwide that really stole hearts.

“I emailed @danecook when I was 15 years old, and he kept the email,” Matt wrote on Instagram, sharing a clip of the special moment.

We read it together on stage, on my record-breaking night at Nationwide Arena, the same arena I watched him at when I was 14. What an unbelievable full circle moment.

Earlier this year, it was announced he’ll star alongside Owen Wilson in the upcoming comedy Rolling Loud, directed by Jeremy Garelick. The 2026 film follows a dad’s decision to take his son to a chaotic hip-hop festival, and we can only imagine the hilarious madness that will ensue.

With only a handful of dates left on the Stay Golden Tour, fans still have a chance to catch the comedy heartthrob live. And for Boston, mark your calendars now: Matt’s New Year’s Eve show at TD Garden is shaping up to be one for the books.

Matt Rife isn’t just breaking records, he’s rewriting the playbook for what a modern comedian can do. From arena sellouts to big-screen comedy, his golden era is only getting started.
