Austin Butler is breaking the internet, again.
This time, it’s with his Men’s Health September cover. He’s got the looks, the charm, and that rare mix of vulnerability and strength that makes people stop scrolling and just stare. But beyond the photos, the interview shows exactly why so many of us can’t get enough of him.
He’s got a huge few months ahead; his next film, “Caught Stealing,” drops August 29th. Austin plays Hank Thompson, a NYC bartender who thinks he’s just watching a neighbor’s cat but ends up in way over his head with some dangerous gangsters. While hyping up that release, he’s also been shooting, “Enemies,” in Chicago with Jeremy Allen White.
The A24 crime drama is set to come next year, and White had the sweetest words about him: “He moves through the world with an incredible amount of ease and grace… He’s got a real quiet gentleness and curiosity to him, and a real comfort that reminds me of those movie stars.” Like, tell me that doesn’t sound exactly like the Austin we all see?
The Men’s Health profile makes him even more loveable. Over dinner (a wedge salad, shrimp cocktail, and filet mignon… king behavior), Austin worried the restaurant was too loud for the recorder, leaning in for thirty minutes to make sure the interviewer’s audio was okay.

He even admitted filming can feel “infantilizing” because everything revolves around him, but that’s why he checks in on friends, asking, “I don’t need anything from you; I just want to know: Are you okay?” Tell me your fave actor is that thoughtful.
When it comes to acting, he’s as raw as it gets: “Rather than hiding parts of yourself, it’s about going into the gross bits you don’t want to look at and finding a way to integrate them into the whole.”
That’s what sets him apart. And yet, he balances it with the sweetest simplicity. His cheat meal? French toast, pancakes, pizza, and pasta… all at once. The most exciting phrase he’s ever heard? “I love you.” Austin Butler, ladies and gentlemen, is the most grounded leading man of our generation.
With Caught Stealing about to drop, Enemies on the way, and this cover making waves, Austin is proving why Hollywood can’t stop calling him its next great star. He’s talented, kind, a little shy, and completely captivating.
