KJ Apa and Johnny Lowe stopped by LITERALLY! With Rob Lowe for what might be one of the most entertaining and surprisingly deep podcast episodes we’ve heard/watched in a while.
The conversation covered just about everything, from KJ opening up about co-parenting his son to discussing his upcoming projects to the trio literally taking their shirts off mid-show.
At one point, Patrick Schwarzenegger also made a quick cameo after FaceTiming Johnny from a Tommy Hilfiger photoshoot. All men, hotties, look better than ever.
KJ also shared how gratitude and recovery have shifted his perspective, saying, “That’s why I’m so grateful for recovery, honestly. It allows me to be happy with really simple things.”
It’s genuinely inspiring to hear three friends, all at different points in their lives and careers, speak so openly about self-discovery, sobriety, and finding balance.
Beyond the podcast, KJ’s career is heating up. He recently signed on to portray Hollywood icon James Stewart in the upcoming biopic Jimmy.
“As someone from New Zealand, I’ve long admired that generation of American men who stood for patriotism, integrity, and a deep sense of duty,” KJ said when the role was announced.
“It is important to me to give back to a country that has given me so much, and what better way to do that than by honoring a man who served it with great honor.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see KJ on screen. His romantic drama, The Map That Leads to You, hits Amazon Prime Video on August 20th.
