Taylor Swift is in her showgirl era, and the world is more than ready. The 14-time Grammy winner announced her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set for release on October 3rd.

She revealed the cover art, tracklist, and multiple vinyl variants (including the glitter-orange Sweat and Vanilla Perfume edition that’s to die for) on her website, alongside deluxe CD and cassette options.

In true Swift fashion, the announcement came with a little pop culture crossover magic: she made the reveal not only on her social media but also during the Wednesday episode of the New Heights Show podcast, co-hosted by her boyfriend (and Chiefs star) Travis Kelce as well as his brother Jason. This marks the first time Swift has ever appeared on a podcast!

The album features a title track collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter and was produced with Max Martin and Shellback; the hitmaking duo behind some of Swift’s biggest pop smashes. (And yes, us Britney Spears fans will note that Max Martin has been a cornerstone of her discography too. The man has given us more pop perfection than we can count!!)

Fans say she’s been teasing The Life of a Showgirl for two to four years through subtle Easter eggs, and if there’s one thing about Taylor, she’s going to make your jaw drop, whether it’s in her lyrics, her visuals, or the way she reveals her projects.

Taylor is once again proving that no one blends spectacle, storytelling, and strategy quite like her. October can’t come soon enough!
