Bend and snap, because Elle, the highly anticipated Legally Blonde prequel series, has officially wrapped production!
The new show will debut on Amazon Prime Video in summer 2026, giving fans one more year to count down before we head back into Elle Woods’ world.
Just a few months ago, fans got their first tease of the series with a single behind-the-scenes photo, proof that it only takes one image to send the internet into a frenzy.

Produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Elle will follow the iconic character during her high school years, exploring the key moments, relationships, and challenges that shaped her into the pink-powered force we know from the films.
Lexi Minetree (My Amish Double Life, 2025) will take on the role of young Elle Woods, with Witherspoon officially announcing the casting back in May.
“I’m so thrilled to introduce Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods,” Reese shared on Instagram. “She is stepping into these pink shoes with so much grace, ambition, and charm. Elle is coming to Prime Video Summer 2026!”

Joining Minetree is an all-star cast including the iconic June Diane Raphael, Jessica Belkin, Zac Looker, Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Logan Shroyer, and Amy Pietz.
Variety also reported additional cast members announced in May, including Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, and Lisa Yamada.
Originally given the go ahead by Amazon in May 2024, the series was created by Laura Kittrell in collaboration with Caroline Dries. With production now complete, all that’s left to do is wait for next summer’s premiere.
