Get ready to switch places with your inner teenage self, because Freakier Friday is getting closer to its release and the soundtrack is everything.
IMDB unveiled the full 29-song tracklist for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 cult-classic, Freaky Friday, and yes, Lindsay Lohan is back with a brand-new original song titled “Baby.”
The story picks up 22 years after the iconic mother-daughter switcheroo. Now, Anna (Lohan) is grown with a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter of her own.
When two families begin to merge, and the emotional chaos kicks in, it seems like lightning just might strike twice. Enter: Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis), and the generational identity crisis that no one saw coming.
The film is set to hit theaters nationwide on August 8th, following a star-studded world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles this coming Tuesday, July 22nd.
And yes, the cast is stacked with familiar faces. Chad Michael Murray returns as Jake, Mark Harmon is back as Ryan, and even the chaotic (yet endearing) Mr. Bates (Stephen Tobolowsky) makes a surprise return. If that’s not nostalgic serotonin, what is?
Oh, and let’s talk about the cameo of all cameos: Elaine Hendrix, who famously played Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap, reunites with Lindsay for the first time in nearly 30 years. A full-circle queen moment if there ever was one.
The soundtrack delivers a mix of new bops and throwback vibes, perfectly curated to match the film’s feel-good, chaotic, and tearjerker tone. You can view the full tracklist here, and don’t forget to grab your tickets for Freakier Friday now!
