Addison Rae is ready to claim her crown in pop music with the release of her sultry new single, “Fame Is a Gun”, the fifth track to drop ahead of her highly anticipated debut album, Addison, arriving June 6 via Columbia Records.

With a glamorous new music video directed by Sean Price Williams, Rae steps into a mysterious persona, donning a wig and oversized sunglasses, as she hosts a high-fashion dinner party and performs alongside two backup dancers. The visual is as stylish as it is symbolic, painting a moody, cinematic portrait of fame and its sharp edges.

Fame Is a Gun” follows the buzzy success of Rae’s first Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Diet Pepsi,” as well as her other 2024 singles: “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” and “Headphones On.” Each track has teased a different corner of Addison’s sonic universe, one that’s now ready to fully unfold on her debut LP.

The album, Addison, is Rae’s first full-length project since her 2023 debut EP, AR, and promises a fresh evolution. “The music is very introspective, kind of a look in the mirror at myself,” she shared in her Elle cover story this May. “It’s a very optimistic approach to the hard times in life… the lyrics really guided the production.

With Addison, Rae isn’t just dipping a toe into pop stardom; she’s diving in headfirst. Blending nostalgic synths, offbeat production, and emotionally raw lyrics, she’s redefining what being a modern pop girl means.
