Miley Cyrus stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and in true Miley fashion, she left no crumbs. Promoting her upcoming album Something Beautiful (out May 31st via Columbia Records), the superstar served both vocal excellence and unfiltered honesty in what might be one of her best talk show appearances to date.

Cloaked in a dramatic, dark, hooded coat, Miley was joined by a live band and a sweeping string ensemble as she performed the heart-wrenching new track “More to Lose.” The performance mirrored the haunting visuals from the song’s recently released music video and gave fans another taste of what’s shaping up to be a next-level era.

More to Lose” is now streaming everywhere and joins the three previously released tracks from Something Beautiful, which officially drops in exactly one week.

Beyond the music, Miley brought the laughs. Reflecting on her Disney roots during the interview, she couldn’t help but make a hilariously accurate cultural comparison: “Nickelodeon gays like boogers and bro jokes, Disney is a bit more fabulous. Especially if it’s about a teenage popstar wearing a wig,” she said.

Being the most famous drag queen for kids ever, I’m like, you’re gay and you don’t live for Hannah Montana? What’s wrong with you?” Only Miley!

And of course, in peak Miley style, she mentioned ending up in the ICU after filming a scene on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her upcoming visual film. She loves us! She rolled around on the dirty sidewalk and ended up with a knee infection just for this art. Iconic, but ew, is truly the only way to summarize that.

Whether she’s making us laugh, cry, or stream another track immediately, Miley continues to show us why she’s a once in a generation icon and why Something Beautiful can’t come soon enough.
