Lukas Gage is no stranger to attention, and now he’s reclaiming it on his own terms.

The actor, known for standout roles in The White Lotus and You, graces the cover of Flaunt Magazine’s latest issue in a bold new chapter of his life. With a candid new memoir on the way, a freshly renovated Spanish-style home being put together, and several projects in the works, Gage is more grounded than ever, and finally ready to tell his story.

His debut book, I Wrote This For Attention, drops October 14th via Simon & Schuster and promises to dive deep into the raw, unfiltered moments that shaped him. The memoir will explore Gage’s West Coast upbringing, family life, struggles with addiction, sex, and borderline personality disorder; all woven into his complicated relationship with fame and the spotlight.

This book is not about what I achieved. It’s more of where I can look back with humility,” Gage shares. He began writing the book during the SAG-AFTRA strike, drawing inspiration from more than 30 childhood journals. What surfaced wasn’t just a story of a rising star… it was a reckoning.

Attention is such a strange thing,” Gage reflects in his Flaunt interview. “It starts off feeling like an affirmation, but then you begin to perform a version of yourself that will shock people and change their perception,” he told the magazine.

He continued, “You have this desire to be seen, but then it becomes a desire to be understood. I don’t know why it became so important for me to be understood by a bunch of strangers online. I’m such an attention whore, but I need it in the good ways.”

Whether it’s through home design, acting, or writing, Gage is leaning into authenticity: “I think there’s something really sexy and attractive about owning your own shit,” he says. “I’m at a point where I’ve had a lot of growth.

Beyond the pages of his memoir, Lukas is booked and busy. Fresh off the screen in Prime Video’s new hit series, Overcompensating, the heartthrob has two more projects, People We Meet on Vacation and Full Throttle Mindset, both currently in production.

As he moves into his new home and prepares to share his truth with the world, one thing’s clear: Lukas Gage is no longer performing for attention. He’s showing up as himself, and it’s never looked better.

Fans can pre-order “I Wrote This For Attention” now ahead of its October 14 release.
