G-Eazy is entering a bold new chapter. With just days to go until the release of his next studio album, Helium (dropping May 23rd) the rapper sat down with Zane Lowe for an exclusive Apple Music interview where he opened up about love, loss, and what this record really means to him.
“This is the highs and lows of love,” G-Eazy told Zane, reflecting on the emotional weight of the album. The 34-year-old artist, who broke out over a decade ago, says Helium is his most honest and layered project to date.
The sound of the album leans into a blend of pop-punk and alt-rock influences, woven together with G’s signature lyrical introspection. He credits his Bay Area upbringing and the deeply personal stories he’s lived over the last few years as major inspirations
To bring the album to life, G hit the road which kicked off in New Haven, CT on April 4th and wrapped May 14th in Cleveland, OH. Fans got an early taste of the new material live, and now, anticipation for the full record is at an all-time high.
