Charli XCX with a note to fans via social media

Five years ago, Charli XCX dropped one of the most defining records of the pandemic era, “How I’m Feeling Now.” Created entirely in just five weeks during lockdown, the album became a cathartic, community-built project that connected fans in isolation through music, livestreams, and shared vulnerability.

Today, on its fifth anniversary, Charli is honoring the record’s legacy with a special limited-edition vinyl and the long-awaited music video for “Party 4 U.”

In a heartfelt note to fans, Charli reflected on the lightning-fast creation of the album: “I made the album in just five weeks, from conception to release, entirely publicly in collaboration with all of you. It was so special. I felt like I rediscovered myself, my sanity, and my sense of connection with the world, at a time where we were all so alone.”

Party 4 U” has always held a special place in the hearts of the Angels, but the track is now experiencing a full-circle moment. After gaining new life on TikTok and becoming a standout on the Brat Tour setlist, the fan-favorite is finally getting its time to shine.

It was all of us at our most raw, our most stripped, our most vulnerable,” Charli wrote. “I will never forget it, and I really can’t believe that 5 years later one of the Angel favorites is having its own special moment.”

The “Party 4 U” video premieres on YouTube, dropping at 12PM EST / 9AM PST, giving fans new visuals to fall in love with all over ‘again and again’ (see what I did there;)) .

Both the exclusive anniversary vinyl and the video serve as a celebration of the creativity and connection that made “How I’m Feeling Now” a standout in Charli’s discography, and in pop history.

Keep an eye on Charli’s official store for the vinyl release, you don’t want to miss out on this!
