Mark your calendars! G-Eazy is officially entering his next chapter. The rapper just announced that his brand-new album, Helium, will be dropping May 23rd via RCA Records, and it’s already shaping up to be one of his most personal projects to date.

Calling Heliuman album about the highs and lows of love and life,” G took to Instagram to share what the release date means to him.

I picked May 23rd because it’s my brother’s birthday, and a day before mine,” he wrote. “Growing up, we were closer than close. We always had to share our birthday parties. So this is my way of sharing them with the world.

The album announcement comes while Gerald is still in the middle of his Helium Tour, which kicked off in New Haven, CT last month and has taken him all across the U.S. since. The tour will wrap on May 14th in Cleveland, Ohio—just in time to usher in this new era.

In a message to fans, G-Eazy expanded on the meaning behind the title: “The album’s about celebrating the highs of love and life as well as how fleeting those moments and feelings can sometimes be,” he said.

Parties don’t last forever, love sometimes fades, and balloons don’t fly forever. But it’s all a part of life—and in the end, it’s worth it all.

The highly anticipated project promises raw emotion, reflection, and that signature West Coast G-Eazy sound fans love. Helium is out May 23rd, set your reminders now!
