Joe Jonas is tugging on heartstrings with his latest single, “Heart By Heart.” Released at midnight, the new track marks the third preview from his upcoming second studio solo album, “Music For People Who Believe In Love,” following “Work It Out” and “What This Could Be.” The album drops May 23rd via Republic Records.
Heart By Heart is a dreamy blend of acoustic guitar, shimmering keys, and a pulsing beat, showcasing Joe’s signature falsetto and emotional depth.
The track’s nostalgic lyrics — “Well if he don’t ever light your spark, remember I know your heart by heart…” are delivered with raw vulnerability and longing, reflecting the singer’s evolution as both an artist and storyteller.

What makes the release even more unique? Joe chose to debut it in the most human way possible, live and unplugged at NYC’s Bleeker Street Bar, in a no-phones-allowed event. The exclusive performance was part of a partnership with Heineken’s new Social Off Socials campaign, which champions in-person connection over digital noise.
“I chose to debut my new song offline and in-person because it felt like the perfect time to return to what music is really about: connecting with people,” Jonas said to Billboard in an exclusive chat at the event. “The crowd was so real, so present, and completely locked into the music — that is something you can’t experience by watching on social media.”
The stripped-down performance was captured for the songs upcoming music video. The intimate visuals, set entirely inside Bleeker Street Bar, will feature Jonas mingling and performing to a crowd completely immersed in the moment — a poignant reminder of the power of real-life connection.
From soulful lyrics to stripped-down realness, “Heart By Heart” is more than a single — it’s a statement. One that reminds us that love, music, and connection are still best felt in real life.
