After months of teasing, the multi-hyphenate superstar has finally announced the release date for her debut album, “Addison,” which will arrive June 6th via Columbia. The album is now available for pre-order on her official website—where fans noticed something very interesting in the album’s description.

“The first and last album by Addison Rae,” it reads, leading many to believe the TikTok-turned-pop sensation is dropping the Rae and officially going by Addison moving forward. A rebrand? A reinvention? Either way—it’s giving Madonna, and we’re so here for it.

Addison” will feature twelve tracks, including fan-favorites like “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” and “High Fashion,” plus the shimmering, synth-pop single “Headphones On,” which was released earlier this month.

While this might be her first official studio album, Addison is no stranger to music. Her 2021 single “Obsessed” became a viral hit, and in 2023, she dropped a surprise EP, AR, which included cult-favorite tracks like Nothing On (But the Radio).

With visuals giving Y2K glam and early-aughts electro-pop energy, the album cover features Addison in a retro Hollywood-meets-pop-art fantasy, further solidifying her as a certified pop girl.

Whether “Addison” really is her last album or just the beginning of a new era, one thing is clear: she’s ready to be taken seriously as an artist and deserves just that.
