Miley Cyrus is officially entering a bold new era. Today, she released the first two tracks from her upcoming album, Something Beautiful, due out May 30, 2025, via Columbia Records.
The songs, “Prelude” and “Something Beautiful” introduce listeners to the sonic and visual journey that will unfold over the coming months. Each release follows the exact sequence of the album and its accompanying film, making this a carefully structured, immersive experience.
Ready for more exciting news? Miley just shared that on April 3rd she will continue this rollout with “End of the World,” reinforcing the project’s sweeping, operatic aesthetic.
Every detail of the new era is deliberate, down to the album artwork, which was shot by Glen Luchford with Cyrus in a jaw-dropping archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture piece—also seen in the “Prelude” visual. Fashion plays a pivotal role in this project, with original, custom designs by Casey Cadwallader for Mugler appearing in “Something Beautiful” and “End of the World.”
Expect to see rare designs from Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as lots of custom Alexander McQueen and Alaïa pieces, all elevating the cinematic vision of the album, which will unfold onMay 30th.
With cinematographer Benoît Debie capturing every breathtaking frame, Something Beautiful is more than an album—it’s an artistic statement that merges music, film, and high fashion into one visionary masterpiece. Miley is once again proving why she’s one of the most fearless artists in the industry.
