Judi Jai is one of the most iconic Bad Girls Club alumnus and there’s no secret about it. I’m so excited to share the conversation I had with Judi! Speaking on all things BGC, spirituality, films, music, and more- we covered it all.

Thank you to Queen Judi for her time and kindness. She is truly a class act. Be sure to keep up with Judi here and don’t forget to check out her brand, Vixen by Judi Jai. Keep reading for the interview below! xoxo

DL: Judi Jai, the Voo-Doo queen and the life of Bad Girls Club! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me; I’m so excited. How has 2024 been treating you so far?

JJ: It has started out amazing. I ended the year with projects and kicked off the year with projects and opportunities and I’m calling for success and execution for the rest of the year!

DL: My best friend and I loved you on Bad Girls Club, obviously, but you’ve done a lot since then. What has it been like getting to venture out and doing your own thing?

It seemed like a lot of people always tried to tell you what to do, but you didn’t let that slide and I love that about you. So it must be nice getting to have complete control over what you’re doing now.

JJ: I love you guys too! I feel like you should always have multiple streams of income. Don’t put all your cinnamon rolls in one oven. When you get a platform, you should definitely continue to invest in yourself.

I feel like a lot of people project their own insecurities and limits onto other people. Why would I listen to people who aren’t where I want to be? That’s a dummy mission. Entrepreneurship and financial freedom is the goal and I am grateful for the journey I am on.

DL: What was your favorite season to film for BGC? My favorite was New Orleans, for sure.

JJ: My favorite show was “Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too.

Having guys around changed the energy in the house. The dates were absolutely amazing. Like, eating sushi at the Chinese theater or having steak dinners in a popular lingerie store on Rodeo Drive.

Freestyling in front of Too Short and him picking me as the winner for my talent. Things like that are things most people will never be able to say they did in their 20’s. Plus our LG3 mansion was beautiful! At the top of mountains, looking down on LA. Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose ended up living there after we filmed!

DL: There were a lot of crazy, but fun, moments on BGC. Do you have a favorite memory or event that you wish you could relive again?

JJ: I had a ball in Barbados on the pirate ship. Jumping off the plank into the Caribbean was awesome. But I got to go back to the island when I got booked there for NYE in 2012. That was cool. There were so many fun moments. Nothing will ever top the feeling I had being picked up from my hotel by the BGC limo for the first time ever. The logo on the door, to the mansion for the first time, and seeing the BGC all pink and lit up for the first time. Truly indescribable. I was like “Wow this is real. I really made the show.”

I’ve done so many shows after and nothing will ever amount to that feeling. All the shows were very exciting though. I was so nervous before meeting the guys on LG, and was nervous for the All Star Battle. I puked before going into the BGC13 mansion. It went from exciting to anxiety hahaha!

DL: With all those crazy and fun moments, there were also a lot of sweet times too. Real friends are hard to come by- do you have anyone that has stood by you or reached out to you from the original cast?

JJ: I talk to many of the girls. Not on an everyday basis, but we are all older now and we kind of see everything for what it was now; a TV show. A rare experimental experience that not many people will experience. I mean these fake low budget internet shows can’t hold a candle to what we did.

I’m always going to have love for Tiara and Stasi. Shelly spoke some really sweet things about me in a recent interview she did. We actually have a lot of fun in real life. She’s come to my hosting’s in St. Louis. We’ve partied together during hosting’s in Dallas. Same with T, she came out and supported my hosting in Houston during the Baddies ATL era.

Angie and I are cool. Cheyenne is a weirdo though. A fan DMed me and told me she was in Vegas talking crazy about me and Tiara a few months ago. Very weird. Sounds bitter she didn’t do more with her opportunity. She completely did a 180; lip injections, sugar daddies, dating black men, sex vibes. Totally different girl now.

DL: A lot of shows have come out since BGC first started with the OG’s. Do you see yourself getting back into reality TV again, or possibly even something BGC related?

JJ: BGC is a chapter in my past. I did BUNIM Murray’s podcast back in 2021 “Reality Bites Back” and it was fun. You should listen to the episode; it’s on Spotify and Apple. I am still active in reality TV. I became a reunion host, hosting the “Ruckus in Dutchess” reunion for OUT TV (which you can watch on Amazon Prime)

I also hosted The Bad Boys Club reunion in Gemini Filmz this past summer, you can watch it on YouTube. TV is always there. Especially with streaming apps, you can watch me any time. I am getting more into acting too. I have a movie on Tubi right now called “Hell in My Life: The Stacey Staxx Story.”

I am also on board as an EP helping with a new network called The Vortex Network. Our “That’s My Bestie” casting call went super viral last month. I also have something up my sleeve… I can’t talk about it yet but I think you’ll be seeing me sooner than you think. I’m literally an entertainer and an artist. I do it all. Skies the limit.

DL: Onto some other exciting ventures of yours, you have two fragrances that are now COMPLETLY sold out at Walmart. You even wrote a book, released music, and started your own line- which includes candles. Girl…do you ever sleep? Lol! What has been the hardest, but most rewarding, project so far?

JJ: Hahaha! I have help with a lot of my ventures. I have amazing partners who help me execute my creative direction. I’m super thankful. Rather it be with uploading and production with my music or helping me with the materials to make my products.. I am grateful!

Releasing my first EP “Superstitious.” It finally came out this past New Year’s Eve- out now so go stream it on all platforms! It was supposed to come out in 2020 but obviously Covid got in the way, then in 2021 I was lost in the Baddies ATL sauce, not focused. But 2023 was my most consistent year in music and I ended it with a bang… my long awaited EP. I also dropped a mixtape in October 2023 “Ahead of my Time” which was supposed to come out in 2016.

One of my songs I released this past summer got over 300k streams and counting! My songs have been placed in movies and tv shows. Super exciting. It feels good to finish what I started which is something My mom always told me to do. I have another EP dropping this year too! Stay tuned.

DL: Do you have a favorite product from your Vixen by Judi Jai line?

JJ:  I love everything I create. I’m really into my candles right now. They bring me such peace and clarity. Spiritual.

DL: Are there any new products coming that we can expect from you this year?

JJ: Always 😉 I have a new perfume coming. Brand new name, look, and smell. And I always release seasonal goodies like my hot sauce, and my hoodies; too so always keep an eye out.

I plan on releasing another book too. I’ve been working on it since like 2018 but change which direction I want to go in all the time. I always will finish what I start though. Timing is everything. Like with my EP, I’m actually happy it came out when it did because my growth is evident.

DL: HEX and Taboo are the names of your perfumes. What’s your favorite out of the two and can fans expect a restock anytime soon?

JJ: I love them both. Different vibes. A new perfume is in the works now. HEX & Taboo had an amazing run.

DL: I screamed when I saw that you created a BGC candle, from one of the most ICONIC moments in BGC history, I may add. Do candles play a role in things that help you keep in touch with your spirituality? I love how open you’ve been.

JJ: It’s so funny how I answer your questions before you ask them. Yes! Spirituality is my way of life and zen and tranquility is what I am all about. Candles are so magical… like me!

DL: Do journaling and affirmations still help you with your day to day life?

JJ: I start my day with affirmations and end my nights with affirmations. Rootwork, spell work, candle magic and writing are all a part of my everyday life. Oils, sage, palos santos, everything!

DL: You’ve always been open about your mental health; I admire that and think you’re so brave. How do you take care of your mental health and keep a balanced life with how busy your life is?

JJ: I learned to separate JUDITH and JUDI from BGC. For a long time I didn’t know how to separate the two. Chaos non stop haha. But when I come home, I’m home. People who visit me are actually always surprised to see how I live.

I drink nothing but tea and water when I’m home. Take sea moss and vitamins every day. I love long showers and spiritual baths. People always compliment me on the energy in my home. I’m always surrounded by crystals. My house is my peace. Me and my dog. And I love it.

DL: Do you have any advice for your fans that might struggle with mental health or self love insecurities?

JJ: Yoga and meditation helps. Affirmations. Positive thinking. You just have to understand we are a soul having a human experience. None of this stuff matters. None of it even exists. And when you realize that, you’ll see the bigger picture.

DL: You’re working with Popout Magazine now; how has that been?

JJ: Awesome! I am a huge foodie. Food and travel is a huge part of my life. My “A Bite With Judi” articles shine light on all the good eats I try.

DL: Is there anything you’re looking forward to most this year?

JJ:  I’m looking forward to all of my heart’s desires coming true! So mote it be! Stay locked in with everything me here!
